Partners

Thank you to all Stroller Hikes partners who share our mission.

  • Allied World - an international insurance company with offices in the Bay Area and great interest in helping small, local nonprofits enrich the community. Allied World provided us with a generous $1000 grant in 2010.
  • Baby Boot Camp - a fantastic business offering customizable, personal fitness support for mamas looking for great, all-around pre-natal and post-natal workouts. Baby Boot Camp of the San Francisco Bay Area provides Stroller Hikes with free demo days 4 times per year, at varying locations on the peninsula or in the South Bay.
  • Blossom Birth Services - a wonderful nonprofit family-friendly organization offering a lending library, yoga, family support groups, and more. Stroller Hikes has partnered with Blossom since 2006 to organize and implement their annual family picnic (called Family Fun Day in 2010).
  • Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation - government with wellness and family in mind! Facilitators of Healthy Trails and Play Here Programs. In 2009, we began Moonlit Hikes, thanks to Santa Clara County's commitment to keeping parks open past sunset for us. We have been a part of their Festival in the Park, a celebration of free or low-cost, family-friendly, health-conscious organizations, since 2009.
  • Full Circle Farm - a small, Sunnyvale farm providing education to the community about all things farming, fresh produce, and great community events! Stroller Hikes has provided a Mothering Tent for diaper changing, nursing, and providing respite from the heat and entropy of Full Circle Farm's annual Earth Day Event since 2010.
  • Sports Basement - a sports authority for the whole family, including the widest range of infant to adult clothing sizes and geal for out and indoor recreation. Check out their community bulletin board for resources like Stroller Hikes! Mention Stroller Hikes' Community Partnership at Sports Basement at the register and receive an ongoing 10% off your entire purchase.
  • Whole Foods - popular grocery store. In 2010, the Los Altos Branch had us on their nonprofits list for their Nickels for Nonprofits Program. In 2011, the Cupertino Branch provided about $100 worth of cheese and strawberries to our Burns Night Supper Fundraising Dinner.
  • Children in Nature Collaborative - a grassroots organization promoting free play in nature. Stroller Hikes shares their mission and promotes a lot of their events/their affiliates' events, including the very popular Wild Zones at Ulistac Open Space in Santa Clara.
  • Bay Nature - a Bay Area non-profit devoted to exploring nature.
  • Las Madres - a new mother support group; two regional groups have partnered with us (2008) to promote fitness with families in the Bay Area.
  • NorCal Bike/BikeForums.net - a bicycle enthusiast organization that has partnered with Stroller Hikes to expand awareness of organized family-friendly bike activities in the Bay Area.
  • Bay Area Ridge Trail Council - a 501-c-3 nonprofit working to improve trails, expand their use, and build new trails in the Bay Area. We have provided support at their Annual Ridge Trail Cruz and Ridge to Bridge events, in 2010 and 2011. Ridge Trail Council regularly lists our events in their online calendar.
  • Children, Nature, and You - a Hooked On Nature organization encouraging families to get outside to explore nature.
  • Roonga - a digital community space for sharing, selling, and giving away things to private groups. We manage our Gear On the Go Baby Transport Gear Lending Library through Roonga. Contact admin@strollerhikes.com to join our Stroller Hikes-Roonga group.
  • City of Cupertino - City of Cupertino provides Stroller Hikes storage space for our Gear On the Go Baby Transport Gear Lending Library.
  • Tri-California Events - An athletic series supporting triathalons and more recently stroller-friendly and hence family-friendly 5K and 10K events. TriCal has supported our running group with promotions for their stroller-friendly races at Treasure Island in July 2011.
  • Beauty Bloc - A Silicon Valley Web-based retailer of eco-friendly cosmetics. We love their health-minded options for the whole family, including sunscreens and bath products. Thanks Beauty Bloc for providing us with a raffle prize for the Stroller Hikes 5th Birthday Party in September, 2011.
